Venue and Seating Information
Established in 1878, Gruene Hall is Texas's oldest continually operating dance hall. Its informal layout centers on an open wooden dance floor, with tables and chairs along the sides, long bar counters, and a covered outdoor area. There is no traditional assigned arena seating, so the experience can vary depending on arrival time and where guests settle.
For a seated view, tables along the dance-floor edges offer a relaxed vantage point. Fans seeking the fullest dance-hall atmosphere can stand near the front of the floor, closer to the stage and the performance. Arriving early is useful for choosing a preferred spot, particularly for a popular show.
Parking Information
Parking in the historic Gruene area is listed as free, with lots within walking distance of the venue. The overflow lot across the street may have limited availability depending on construction, so allow time to find another nearby space if it is unavailable.

The Red Clay Strays San Antonio reviews
Cats was boring
We have seen The Red Clay Strays in many different venues (traveling broadway show, ny locally) 4 times and thought this production was so mediocre. The dance routines were just that, routine and mediocre. This cast did watch "routine" as merely dance steps that could have accompanied any play. One of the highlights of this play is seeing the actors and actresses become so feline you were amazed. There was no spark in the songs. We left at intermission sadly disappointed. We have been big supporters of traveling shows and local productions for over 40 years, bringing children and now grandchildren to open their eyes to the magic of live shows. So sad.
